Thurrock Council Acknowledges Report

The Action Group prepared a Report looking at the proposed savings Thurrock Council will make from leaving the Country Park "unmanaged" (much less than they proposed), as well as impacts on the community and environment. If you haven't yet seen it, read it at:https://docs.google.com/…/1zFzFD9KNH8D_-FU-i7Dz8RDnai…/edit…

The Action Group has been in communication with Thurrock Council to try to change their minds - although there was some discussion about the financial aspect of the Report, the Council accepted the rest of the Report and the implications described within it - yes, they acknowledged the increased risks to the health and safety of visitors and volunteers, decrease in value of nearby properties, impacts on local businesses, increase in anti-social behaviour, losses to wildlife and more. They still intend to go ahead with their plans, so please help to save your Country Park!

Please please write to the Council, and share the message with people you know! If you are interested in attending a rally to peacefully protest the proposed cuts, please get in touch via langdonhillsactiongroup@gmail.com
